If you are an older male, you might as well tuck your wallet because this dating site is a waste of money. Most of my so-called matches are at least 100 miles away from me. If I wanted to have a chat date, I'd stick with FB. You also have to be leery of catfishes.

What can I say… This site will be good for you if you're okay w/ dating people in & out of your area. I tried texting locals, but there were too few of them around. Maybe it's just me, as I see many people are totally ok & satisfied w/ the site. (I'm just sharing my own thoughts here.) Apart from that, can say I'm enjoying this dating service.

Having had a few dates recently and just not settling on anybody, I decided to give online dating a spin. Being attracted to Asian ladies, I did a little searching online and having had a few bad experiences, I finally settled on this site. The girls were beautiful, friendly and the app was so easy to use. Now I’m just having the time of my life chatting with stunning ladies and seeing where it takes me.

On this site, your membership is automatically renewed at the monthly price, without you actually requesting it. No email is sent to notify you of this renewal either; you find out when you look at your bank statement. Moreover, no refund is given when requested, even when they realize that you haven't been using the site since before the 'automatic renewal'. BTW, all calls made are to centres not within Europe.

I have to be honest and say that overall, its not a bad site and have come across some nice people. What has prompted me not to join again is the fact that no longer can you un-subscribe from what will be an automatic re-newal unless you cancel. You sign up online, but to un-subscribe....you have to actually ring a telephone number and speak directly (India I think) with someone in a call centre. You used to be able to cancel subscriptions online - Why have DD changed this? There is no logical reason other than making it just that much harder to cancel. Shame on you DD.

I have been a member of this site twice, having not quite learned my lesson the first time. I put my lack of success the first time down to lack of effort on my behalf, and consequently fell for another 6 month subscription, albeit at the half price special offer rate. I was aware of the auto-renewal scenario and have been able to cancel the subscription on both occasions without any funds being taken from my account for auto-renewal, so my gripe is not about that, as it has been with so many others. My gripe relates to the overall futility of attempting to meet anyone on this site. Without going into great detail, I am not a bad looking guy, am relatively successful and spent a long time completing and modifying my profile, but during the 12 months of membership I did not receive one single reply to any of my emails. Not one. Latterly I resorted to only contacting those who had already been attracted to my profile, but again I never received a single reply. I initially put this down to one of two reasons, 1) I am actually a boring unattractive twat, 2) Most of the people on the website are not paid members and therefore are unable to communicate.

Been using DD for a while now. Mostly a good experience. It's the UK's biggest online dating agency, with thousands of members often online It also has a number of organized dating events for members DD allows you to filter out profiles from your searches based on the last time they logged in, meaning you can have access to only active members. Overall it's pretty easy to and is a seamless experience, with a pretty good help system. Only real downside is weak automated matching that doesn't feel so customized.

I took out a 6-month subscription with DatingDirect.com and even though I had cancelled the "auto-renewal" (a ridiculously complicated process that they obviously don't want you to manage to do), 6 months later without warning or any communication at all they stole £137 from my PayPal account. If it wasn't for the PayPal email I received, I would never have known about it unless I happened to spot it on my bank statement some time later as I received no communication from Datingdirect.com at all, even after they took my money - a complete ripoff and scam. DO NOT TRUST DATINGDIRECT.COM AND DO NOT EXPECT PAYPAL TO HELP YOU IN ANY WAY, THEY DON'T CARE EITHER.
